How do I use the CareFor Carer App offline?

Last updated by Claire Sillito on April 30, 2024 17:37

Do you work in areas of poor mobile signal, or worry about the amount of data being used to access the CareFor mobile site? If so, did you know that the CareFor Carer App works offline?

The CareFor Carer App is available for both Android phones and iPhones; available from the Play store and the App store.

You must be in signal (using your home's WiFi or a 3G or better connection) to download the App, sign in to it and to download your rota.

You can then check in and out of calls without signal and the times will be saved on your phone.

You can also write notes, complete forms and record medication and this data will be saved to your phone.

Once in an area of reception, or when you have WiFi again, you can refresh the App to upload data.

Please note - any changes to staff rotas will not be seen by carers that are working offline, we advise Carers to frequently connect to internet access to download their rota and any subsequent changes.
